Om Bead Mala
Made from hand painted Yak (water buffalo) bone, the beads are 7 - 9mm in size. Yak is an important animal in Tibet as they are used as packing animals for the nomadic tribes. The Tibetans honor their passing by creating these beautiful malas and using them in their meditative practice so that the animals can continue to be of service as they pass from this consciousness to another. by Sivana
The peaceful nation of Tibet, blessed by vibrant culture and traditions, exists despite constant threat of elimination, as a living civilization, breathing deeply of the unique attributes which make Tibet separate from all others. The varied and exceptional arts of Tibet have been the primary means by which her people have kept alive their rich heritage since the Chinese invasion. This wrist mala is carefully hand made by superior crafts people, exiled Tibetans refugees living in India, Nepal, Bhutan, Mongolia and elsewhere.
This is a fair trade item. Your purchase directly assists in the day to day lives of these refugees and aids in preserving and expanding the unique, rich Tibetan heritage and culture.

SHIPPING - Please note that shipping rates are skyrocketing, I am doing my best to subsidize them and still stay afloat so that you aren't hammered with giant shipping fees, but know that I end up paying the difference. There is little I can do, Festival Fire isn't gigantic enough to absorb all shipping costs, nor do we get our goods for pennies on the dollar from third world exploited labor. I think you will find that shipping fees are still reasonable, atleast domestically. Internationally rates are getting very high, and delivery is taking twice as long as just a year ago. Shipping to Australia is currently taking more than 8 weeks to arrive (due to Australian postal services, packages leave the USA in 2 days), while expedited fees to deliver within 3 weeks begin at more than $40. ~ Saphir
EXPEDITE? Do you need rush delivery? Some of our designs are custom made to order and take time - these are clearly marked, but the vast majority will ship right away. If you need expedite or overnight, message us in checkout and we'll work with you personally to make sure you get your goodies in time.

Wherever possible, every person, all the way down the supply chain is treated with respect and fair pay, often becoming like family. We guarantee quality craftsmanship in everything we sell.
RETURNS - Our designers at Festival Fire are small independent artisans who make their wares by hand and many items are custom built to order. Also, all of your purchases are shipped direct from the designer, we do not have a warehouse of goods at Festival Fire. For these reasons we are unable to offer refunds for many of the items we sell. Every case is unique - we are real people and will chat with you about what went wrong. In certain cases we will do refunds - of course if there is a problem with the quality - all of our items are guaranteed to be good quality and we will quickly refund if it is flawed. Otherwise, we will do our best to find an arrangement that works in your specific situation.
